Awards Charity

The real Green Party!

The Green IT Awards ceremony 2010 took place on Earth Day, Thursday the 22nd of April, under the watchful eyes of the residents at London Zoo in Regents Park. Over 200 supporting guests gathered to see the outcome of the Green IT Magazine's reader voting and the Judging panel’s deliberations.

The foundations for a great evening were laid with some fantastic support from the Department of Energy and Climate Change without whom the evening would not of been possible. Our thanks go to them for all their support.

The evening started with a drinks reception at the Gorilla Kingdom which allowed everyone to catch up with old friends and start to make new ones whilst at the same time take in some of the amazing animals at the Zoo. Following a short welcome speech by Richard French from BCS The Chartered institute for IT and a superb 3 course dinner, we were entertained by Cole Parker who in a hugely entertaining set managed to discuss everything from the joys of shopping with children to the election.

The awards ceremony then commenced and some of the winners can be seen below. For a full listing of the winners, please see below, and congratulations to you all. Noticeable winners included Kyocera, winners of the Prestigious Company of the Year award, 1E, who walked away with the Minister of Energy Award and Océ, winner of the Editor’s Choice category

The Green IT Awards 2011 will take place in April during Earth Week, and we are already working on how to make next year’s event even better. If you would like to be involved, please contact Josh Boulton to discuss the options available.

Well done to everyone that took part this year and congratulations to all our winners once again.
