2008 Network Computing Awards – Tower Hotel, London 13th March 2008
The Network Computing Awards were set up to recognise the products and companies that have most impressed the readers of Network Computing, the UK’s longest established networking publication. Awards were presented at a ceremony on 13th March at the Tower Hotel in London. Around 230 people from more than 50 different organisations attended. These included technology suppliers and service providers, their customers and representatives from PR and advertising agencies. The evening began with a Champagne reception and a dinner. Comedian Terry Alderton entertained attendees afterwards with his own distinct brand of humour and then partnered Networks Computing’s Publisher, Stuart Leigh, in presenting the awards. Music and drinks followed on an evening that ended quite late for some people. Besides the obvious jubilation felt and shown by the winners, the overwhelming feeling was that there was a terrific atmosphere at a terrific event.
