Cadac BIS Limited, one of the UK’s leading specialist systems integrators, is pleased to announce the acquisition of its main competitor in the Bentley Systems market, Meta4.
The deal is part of Cadac’s strategy to become the largest Bentley Systems Integrator in Europe and ensures that all vertical market sectors in the UK, including architecture, engineering and construction (AEC), geographic information systems (GIS), manufacturing and plant, are covered by one organisation. As part of the agreement with Bentley, Cadac will distribute MicroStation products and will be proactively recruiting MicroStation resellers.
Eddie Hillier, managing director of Cadac said: “This is an exciting development and a major leap forward for Cadac. We will be the only Bentley Integrator in the UK and undoubtedly the largest Bentley reseller in Europe. This acquisition is a positive step for both companies. As a combined unit we will be fully resourced to deliver our customers unparalleled technical expertise and quality service. It provides a good opportunity for the staff in both companies who will have greater career opportunities from working within a larger organisation.”
"As the focus of our business moves more into services, the additional highly skilled people we are acquiring will allow us to address major projects with more confidence."Tracey Robinson, managing director of Meta4, who will work alongside the Bentley Systems UK team as a consultant to assist with the integration of the two companies, said: “Both Meta4's customers and staff will benefit from this deal which gives them access to highly experienced additional engineering and project management. Cadac has a respected technical team and we are delighted to be joining them.”
"The coming together of these two companies to form the largest Bentley Integrator and reseller in Europe is excellent news," said Dick Fox, executive vice president of Bentley Systems, Northern Europe. "Bentley UK has recently secured deals which put us at the heart of a large number of major infrastructure projects. Cadac and Meta4's combined strength places them in a great position to offer new kinds of advanced design environments to these prestige projects using our recently announced Viecon web-based engineering collaboration technology."
